Enrolment Procedure and Center Policies
- New students are required to pay a registration fee of $50. If a student withdraws or takes leave for more than 3 months, the registration fee must be paid again.
- Students who have continuously participated in two or more terms (i.e., 24 lessons) of Orff Music Enlightenment courses with an attendance rate of over 80% may apply for a certificate issued by our centre.
- After completing the required number of lessons in our Orff Music Enlightenment courses, students may apply to our centre for a graduation certificate from the Vienna Music Examination Board (additional fees apply, please inquire with our staff for details).
- Our centre can only take care of students during classes or performances. Please pick up your children on time. Our centre is not responsible for supervising your children.
- To provide a healthy and comfortable environment for children, if parents notice that their child is unwell (e.g., fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other infectious diseases), please do not attend class and seek medical attention immediately. If a child feels unwell during class, we will notify the parent/guardian to pick up the child as soon as possible.
- Unless approved by our centre, photography and video recording are prohibited at our centre. Unless notified in writing, our centre reserves the right to use any form of media in the classroom, and all photos, audio recordings, and videos produced will be used for training, curriculum development, and promotion.
- Teaching materials compiled by our centre are only provided to students of our centre. Unauthorized copying and distribution are prohibited.
- All parents/students are strictly prohibited from using our facilities for waiting or resting outside of their designated class time.
- Any person is prohibited from selling or promoting products and courses not from our centre.
- Students must attend all classes on time. No additional make-up lessons will be provided for latecomers.
- Our centre will not arrange make-up lessons or refunds for students who are absent without reason.
- All voluntarily prepaid tuition fees will not be refunded or exchanged in any form after the course begins.
- Our centre reserves the right to change any teacher to conduct classes at the scheduled time without prior notice to parents. In addition, under no circumstances may parents request a refund or class change on the grounds of teacher changes.
- If a student needs to apply for personal leave, please notify our centre at least three days in advance for arrangement.
- If a student needs to apply for sick leave, please call at least three hours before class for arrangement.
Leave Arrangement:
(a) Orff Music Enlightenment Course:
- If a student needs to take leave, they may attend another class of the same level within the same week as a make-up lesson. However, our centre does not accept postponement of lessons for make-up or refund (except for courses cancelled by our centre, other courses will not be refunded or postponed).
- Extra rehearsals arranged by our centre for performances or competitions may be counted as make-up lessons for Orff Music Enlightenment courses / Hong Kong Children's Orff Band.
(b) Individual Instrumental Course:
- If a student needs to take leave, they may choose the following make-up methods:
- Parents may choose to make up the lesson in parts (e.g., 15 minutes extra per lesson), or
- Schedule another time for make-up within the payment period, or
- Accept a substitute teacher arranged by our centre
** However, postponement of lessons for make-up or refund is not accepted.
2. If a student needs to take leave for more than one month (four or more lessons), 30% of that month's tuition must be paid as a reservation fee, otherwise our centre will not reserve the time slot for the student.
- If a teacher takes leave or the centre announces class suspension, our centre will arrange make-up lessons.
- If a student is absent or takes leave during make-up lessons, our centre will not arrange additional make-up lessons.
- Students and parents should take care of their belongings. Our centre is not responsible for any loss.
- Please pay tuition on time to reserve your spot, otherwise the student's enrollment will be cancelled.
- If a student's performance is unsatisfactory or disrupts class order, their enrollment will be cancelled. Our centre reserves all rights and will not provide any form of make-up lessons or refunds.
Bad Weather Arrangement
- If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, all classes will be cancelled. Our centre will arrange make-up lessons.
- All classes will resume two hours after the Hong Kong Observatory announces the cancellation of the Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8.
- Our centre will also announce the latest news on our Facebook page "Art Rhapsody". Our centre reserves the final decision.
